Pre-K Teacher
Job Title: Pre-K Teacher
Department: Early Childhood Services
Reports to: Director of Early Childhood Services
About the Role:
Hope House is seeking a caring and dedicated Pre-K Teacher to help shape the early learning experiences of young children. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom where children can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. You’ll play a meaningful part in preparing children for kindergarten while supporting families and contributing to a strong, connected community.
What You’ll Do:
• Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment where every child feels safe and valued.
• Plan and lead fun, developmentally appropriate lessons through play, creativity, and hands-on learning.
• Support children’s growth in early literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and independence.
• Maintain a consistent daily routine that promotes structure and positive behavior.
• Build strong relationships with families through regular communication and partnership.
• Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to support classroom success.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized classroom that meets licensing standards.
• Provide attentive care for children’s daily needs, including meals, transitions, and hygiene.
• Participate in trainings and ongoing professional development opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
• Patience, positivity, and strong classroom management skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• High school diploma or associate degree required; Bachelor’s in Early Childhood or related field preferred
• Previous preschool or early childhood experience preferred
• CDA credential is a plus
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a background check
Compensation:
• Salary: $50,000 annually
